My war, ca. 1943-1999.

In "My War," a selection from his autobiography, Dennis Robert Dalley traces his life from basic training to the front lines of the European Theater of World War II. After a short time on the front lines, Dalley, then a sergeant, was critically wounded when he stepped on a land mine. He shares the details of his treatment, recovery, and eventual discharge after two years of service. He also includes many details of his personal and religious life as they related to his military service. Two photographs are included, one showing him in military "Class A" dress green uniform and another personal portrait in a suit in his later life. Also included are a summary of "My War" and a short military biography of his father, Robert S. Dalley, who served as part of the US Army, 77th Infantry Division, during World War I.
